Alone

This series explores love and longing during the time of the pandemic. This work shows a nude woman with her back turned to the viewer. She sits on a large bed, and light shines in through the window. Her posture indicates the worry and sadness caused by separation, whilst the light coming in through the window symbolises the hope of the end of the lockdowns. This series is characterised by the use of dark paper and purple shades - these unrealistic tones give the viewer a sense of the uniqueness of the situation experienced by many over the pandemic.
